STIPULA CASA MILA LIMITED
EDITION FOUNTAIN PEN W/TITANIUM T-FLEX
NIB
Few years ago Stipula
introduced the “Gaudì”, a first instalment in its limited edition
Etruria Architectural Collection.
These fountain pens take
their name from Antonio Gaudì, an architect from Catalonia, Spain,
one of the most representative artists of Modernism and Art
Nouveau, an artistic movement of the beginning of XX century. He is
famous for his unique and highly individualistic style. His works
are characterized by outstanding, irregular and fantastically
intricate form. Some of his greatest works, have an almost
hallucinatory and dream power. In his architectures he used a wide
variety of materials from simple clay baked materials to stone,
from ceramics to glass and iron and obtained from them the most
expressive and astounding effects.
Today Stipula introduces Casa
Milà, inspired by one of the best known Gaudì’s buildings. The pen
shape and details gently recall the building lines and style
through a highly refined and excellent handcraft
work.
The colour itself of the
fountain pen has been created to resemble an undulating beach of
fine sand, like the wavy facade of Casa
Milà.
The clip and ring are
handcrafted in sterling silver and suggest the same original and
sinuous design of the architectural elements of Gaudì’s building.
The finishing of the metal parts of the pen are matched with the
nib: shiny gold when the pen mounts the 14k gold one and faded matt
gold when the pen features a titanium
nib.
Casa Milà collection includes
a limited edition of 74 piston fountain pens, available with 14k
gold nib; a limited edition of 274 cartridge converter fountain
pens featured by a 6 mm titanium nib, a metal with a great
performance in terms of accuracy, flexibility and lightness; and a
limited edition of 274 twist ballpoint.
