to be the exclusive retailer for the latest creation from
MetalWrite - the second in MetalWrite hand-engraved,
Sterling/Damascus pen series RR2. RR2 is an evolution of its
sold-out predecessor RR1, incorporating a new and exclusive hand
engraving design on the solid sterling silver cap, barrel and clip
in addition to a different finish of custom made Damascus Steel
stoppers. The new pattern departs from RR1 with an asymmetric
component. The guilloché is applied to the barrel and cap by hand
cranking a Neuweiler and Engelsberger straight line engine turning
machine. Clips are cut out of a sheet of 1.5mm Argentium, hand
engraved and then bent into shape. The Damascus steel stoppers are
turned from Damascus steel made by Robert Eggerling. The
cap/barrel/nib/section are made by Conway Stewart located in
Plymouth England.
RR2 is not a pen for the weak
at hand. It is solid Sterling/Damascus weighing in at 87 gms and is
140mm long capped with a 14mm diameter. RR2 provides the same
flexibility as RR1 - the clip is removable so RR2 can be used a
pocket (with clip) or desk (without clip) pen. The MetalWrite RR2
Limited Edition is offered as a Fountain Pen and Roller Ball
writing mode. Each pen is packaged with both writing mode front
sections crafted from solid sterling silver to satisfy the demand
for every writing style. The Fountain Pen is mounted with an 18
carat solid gold nib available in eight grades: Extra Fine to Extra
Broad, Italic Fine, Italic Medium and Italic Broad. Accessories
with RR2 include a polishing cloth and a travel
case.
RR2 is a limited edition of
